author is contradictory throughout the book

After reading these reviews I found the author contradicted himself numerous times. I am surprised no one spotted these contradictions. First the author rightfully stated that all technical indicators are lagging indicators and that there are no leading indicators, but a few pages later when describing a volume indicator in one of his chapters he called it a leading indicator. Contradiction number one. Number two, author rightfully states that using too many indicators on a chart causes analysis paralysis, but all of his examples utilize 5 or more indicators contradicting what he writes at the end of the ebook that "too many indicators make a chart look sloppy and not clean". Contradiction number three, author stresses price action but all of his examples are void of any price action, especially when he describes pivot points, which brings us to get another contradiction in this book. Pivot points is described in this book as an "untold indicator" when it happens to be a very widely used indicator by amateurs and pros alike. The only thing that made me give this book 2 stars is the TSI indicator chapter. But to avoid paying money for this ebook just for that chapter please do a search on Google for the TSI trader blog where you will not only get the ways to trade this indicator, which is more extensive than this ebook offers, but you will also see the bloggers trading wins and losses using the TSI indicator, for free. Newbie traders please find free articles online before wasting 3 and change on this one.

Excellent book. Have often heard price & volume are ...

Excellent book. Have often heard price & volume are 2 of the best indicators when trading. This author personally responds to questions and I've also subscribed to his free website. I look forward to reading his next book. He has excellent parameters for setups for good trades and if you follow the rules it will keep you out of bad ones. Like any trading strategy it takes DISCIPLINE to pay attention to red flags and wait for good trades with green flags. (He gives you what to look for for both).

Some of the 1 star reviews are just stupid! The author shouldn't be blamed for their ignorance & stupidity because they haven't the first clue about trading and don't or won't put forth the effort to learn! Have traded for 20 years and it's an ever learning experience. This is a good book and easy to understand even for beginners. I have made notes from it for my own trading parameters.

Must read!

I always get confused when to buy, sell or hold the stocks. I searched and referred so many books and videos, which promised me to teach everything about trading. But I found them not suitable and almost most of them are telling the same old stories. Recently I bought this book and it simply amazed me. The book discusses 4 uncommon technical trading indicators in depth, along with many examples of charts and how to set them up. The author presented the information which is succinct. If you are looking for a very simple yet powerful book on trading indicators, then this book definitely be your choice.

Well argued and persuasive

A Brit who happens to live in Europe and concerned for the future, I downloaded the Kindle version of this book and found it concise, well argued and persuasive.
I thoroughly recommend it to anyone concerned about whether or not to vote for Brexit.
If you are leaning towards Brexit but still wavering, you should find this convincing.
If you are leaning towards Remain or even a Remainer, this may well make you think twice.
If you are a confirmed Brexit, this can only reinforce your views.

Daniel Hannan - "Please Sack Me"

Daniel is an absolutely brilliant and passionate orator, intellectual, author and historian. This book oozes credibility given he - very effectively - argues himself out of a job. As an MEP representing South East England, Daniel has an insider's view of the creeping super-state of the EU and critiques, with relish, the "mass of pettifogging regulation" and manifold economic dysfunction emanating from Brussels. As a student of history, Daniel incorporates important political theory to support his arguments, including Milton Friedman's "the tyranny of the status quo" and the "model of the extractive state" from "Why Nations Fail" by James Robinson and Daron Acemoglu. Also, the universal political maxim that "the problem is proportionate to the distance between the government and the governed. The more remote the institutions, the more prone they become to producer-capture." He further notes that: "issues are decided by a Continent-wide bureaucracy and then handed down uniformly to 600 million people" - a fatal conceit - and that "members will suffer to the extent they diverge from the mean. No country diverges as much as Britain." Daniel notes three core aims of the Eurosceptics: 1) "the primacy of UK over EU law on our own territory"; 2) "the right to sign bilateral trade deals with non-EU states, such as Australia and India"; and 3) "the right to control who can settle in the UK." Further, "None of these aims is in any sense immoderate or unreasonable. That they evidently cannot be reconciled with EU membership tells us a great deal about the nature of the EU." His strongest argument is around sovereignty and trade economics: "Nowhere else in the world is there an assumption that political integration is a prerequisite for free trade and cooperation." Citing official trade statistics, Daniel notes that only 21% of UK GDP depends on overseas commerce, with less than half that - or just 10% - accounted for by trade with the EU: "In other words, for the sake of 10 per cent of our economy that is linked to the EU, we must apply 100 per cent of EU rules to 100 per cent of our businesses." Lastly, as it relates to bargaining power between the EU and UK upon Brexit: "On leaving, the UK would instantly become the EU's single largest export destination, worth 289 billion pounds. It is very rare, in any negotiation, for the salesman to bully or threaten the customer." Daniel is the rare human who opts for the intellectual reward of arguing so persuasively that he finds himself out of a cushy job. The markets immediately rendered a view of Brexit as a negative for the UK, but more likely it is the EU that will ultimately fare much worse due to a negative selection bias. Ethics and reason triumph here over the heart and tyranny of the status quo. Be sure to read his other "Eurosceptic" book: "The New Road to Serfdom - A Letter of Warning to America."

Important, persuasive pre or post Brexit

The "on air" exasperation of Christine Amanpour, CNN's doyenne of international news, at Daniel Hannan in a tv interview post Brexit tweaked my interest in his pre Brexit book. The interview is on Google and it confirms Hannan's savvy and coolness under fire. Tho entitled "Why Vote Leave," the book might seem unnecessary at this junction; it is not; the failed "Remain" poobahs circle, intent on slaying the democratic vote of "Little England."

Ignoring the immigration issue which, according to the liberal mass media, seemingly carried the Leave vote, Hannan targets the EU's anti-democratic structure, its failing economic growth numbers, its restrictive trade and economic policies (e.g., fishing rights), the EU's refusal to bend when David Cameron tried to renegotiate and/or fashion policies more amendable to English sensitivities. Hannan's argumentative fluidity and adroitness is further enhanced by almost a dozen charts in support of his points.

For Americans interested in political science and foreign affairs, this is a superb book, pre or post Brexit, in countering the doctrinaire and orthodox thinking of the mainstream media like Madame Amanpour. Amazon is to be commended for marketing it so inexpensively.

A creepy little tale

This is one of the early Philip K. Dick stories but it has the classic themes that will be explored in more detail in his later novels. The main character is a common man who sees something wrong with his world, something out of place. What develops is sinister and enough to make anyone question their grip on what is real. If you like disturbing tales from the Twilight Zone you'll find this tale worth your time.

Excellent, Early Dick

This short story is from very early in Philip K. Dick's career (1953), but the theme of paranoia which would be so important in his later work is already fully developed here. This story was published about a year before Jack Finney published his novel Invasion of the Body Snatchers; I don't know if Finney was influenced by Dick, but there are certainly parallels between this story and Finney's novel.

Rather, Sabine MacCormack proposes that civil society was born of the intellectual endeavors that commenced with the invasion itself, as the invaders sought to understand an array of cultures. Looking at the sixteenth- and seventeenth-century people who wrote about the Andean region that became Peru, MacCormack reveals how the lens of Rome had a profound influence on Spanish understanding of the Incan empire.

Tracing the varied events that shaped Peru as a country, MacCormack shows how Roman and classical literature provided a framework for the construal of historical experience. She turns to issues vital to Latin American history, such as the role of language in conquest, the interpretation of civil war, and the founding of cities, to paint a dynamic picture of the genesis of renewed political life in the Andean region. Examining how missionaries, soldiers, native lords, and other writers employed classical concepts to forge new understandings of Peruvian society and history, the book offers a complete reassessment of the ways in which colonial Peru made the classical heritage uniquely its own.
