Even before I became an entrepreneur, I always wanted to be a connector. To me, it made total sense: Tim has a problem, Tom knows how to solve it. Put the two together and both are happy.

I never realized the power of a person's network until my business mentor, we'll call him John, was fired... for the fifth and final times. He was the head of sales of a franchise, had a small amount of ownership, and was going to buy out the business in the next year. The owner wanted John to become the head of production without giving a pay raise. John refused. The owner fired him hoping he'd come back to his job and take something rather than nothing. John refused. Even though he had no idea what he was going to do, just had his 6th child, he refused to take this type of crap again.

He went to the next business network group he attended weekly. He told me and a few other friends, mainly just letting us know what happened. He received 5 jobs offers that week.

Whether you are in business or just looking for a job, it's of great value to have a strong and vibrant network. Jayson's book gives some great tools to start enhancing your network through Mastermind Dinners. Though you may not have heard of him before, Jayson has put on entrepreneur events with great speakers like Tim Ferriss, Guy Kawasaki, Marc Ecko, Dan Martell, James Altucher, and Ryan Holiday. Jayson gives a great inside glimpse on how you can start doing your own dinners to build your relationships with those around you.

As each person has a different review "system," I do want future readers to know that I consume a lot of books, articles, blogs, and podcasts. Personally, in my mental ranking system, I reserve 5 star reviews for things in life that make the top 5%. Very difficult to be done by smaller books like this. Books like the Bible, Good to Great, Crossing the Chasm, and Ultimate Sales Machine fall into this category.

A 4 star is a book I believe is well worth reading for just about everyone wanting to make a difference in their life and I'll recommend to others. Of course, if you'd rather be status quo, no need to spend the money here. Otherwise the value of this book far exceeds the small price to pay to get Jayson's best information.

Recommending great resources is another great way to build up the value to your network. So read this book, then think of a friend to pass this along to. It's great enough that I'm going to recommend this to a friend after I finish writing this review.

Being a entrepreneur is tough... but building honest relationships with the key people who will endorse what you do and become the evangelist-behind-your-back is far tougher.

Jayson's book recaps his real life experience with building a network of people and gives you not just the why, but also the how.

What I like about Jayson's book:
- It's short and to the point. He could have stretched the same concepts into a brick but instead keeps it on topic.
- Great practical tips about how to get people to your events in the 'Reaching the Unreachable' chapter.
- His writing style is simple, easy to read and does not try to overly impress.

Overall a great little book and I look forward to implanting these concepts in my own business.

I'd Take a Bullet for the Guy ...

And if that isn't a strong enough testimonial to how good of a strategic networker Jayson is, I don't know what is.

In full disclosure, Jayson sent me a preview copy of the book. I was also one of the beta readers (you can see my name at the end).

This book is short and tactful. It does what it says that it'll do. You will learn precisely how to build an astonishingly good network in a short period of time using the power of the mastermind dinner. You will learn how to approach people, network up, build value, and stay at the top of people's minds.

You will learn how to make people who you didn't know a few years ago be willing to take a bullet for you.

If there's one particularly section that stood out here it's the part where Jayson speaks about the research that he does on each person at the dinner. His methods for seating people beside each other that he knows, based off of their interests or experiences, will develop immediate rapport is insightful and powerful. Not only that, but the guy takes the time to teach you how to use that information and immediately turn the table around from being a dull dinner to an engaging one for all involved. No details are spared as he discussing everything from inviting the right type of guests to the benefits and drawbacks of different sized groups.

Jayson's special and what he's done is special. If you believe that the only dependable currency is a strong network, and you should, you cannot learn from a better source.

Brilliant and Inspirational

A brilliant and inspirational story from a charismatic figure! A fascinating story not only from a historical point of view, the rise of the Arab and Asian world, but touching from a human perspective, the story of a man who is never defeated and goes ahead despite of the adversities of his personal and his country's history. Last but not least, from a literary point of view, this autobiography is a masterpiece, its characters are beautifully portrayed, the story is superbly told in and you feel the perfume of 1001 and one nights, and the salty smell of the sea. Happy reading!!!

This is a person who has truly lived. Very few people would have lasted this roller-coaster ride. I hope he will continue to touch people's live all over the world. I wonder what it would be like to meet the man himself. One of the best books I have read in my life.

Gregory focuses on three overarching themes: the artists’ similar approach to depicting landscape; their romantic and social rivalries within their circle of friends, which included many of Moscow’s leading cultural figures; and the influence of Levitan’s personal life on Chekhov’s stories and plays. He emphasizes the facts of Levitan’s life and his place in late nineteenth-century Russian art, particularly with respect to his dual loyalties to the competing Itinerant and World of Art movements.

Serge Gregory’s Antosha & Levitasha is the first biography of Isaac Levitan in English, as well as the biography of an important artistic friendship. Gregory, who has a Ph.D. in Russian Language and Literature, has worked as a corporate writer, filmmaker, and independent scholar. Interestingly, he is also the great-grandson of Chekhov’s closest neighbor when Chekhov lived at Melikhovo, south of Moscow. The book is compelling, especially for those interested in artistic friendships that amount to a kind of osmotic collaboration. Of interest to all who love literature, art, and their intersections.

You Will Fall In Love With Justin.....

As soon as I got to then end of the first book I was honestly shocked at how quickly Justin turned down the girl at his work, but I actually felt sorry for him considering he realised that he has feelings for Sloane, but when he got there to try and win her back it didn't exactly go very well considering she wants nothing to do with him.
However Justin isn't going to give up on Sloane that easily, and makes it his mission to win her back no matter what it takes. He knows deep down that he has hurt her considering when she turned round and set him free he sort of jumped at the chance instead of insisting that he wants Sloane only. He knows it in his heart that the only way he can win her back is if he steps up his game but also makes sure that he treats her right and takes her seriously.

Sloane is missing Justin like no tomorrow but at the end of the day she was the one that set him free and then turned him down when he came running back to get her back, she's not sure what went on between the girl from Justin's work and himself but she knows she deserves someone who will look after her and be there for her. However her heart won't let go of Justin, no matter how much she tries and she is slowly starting to realise that she needs to get him out of her system yet the only way that she could do it, is by going out with him but only allowing him access to her body and not her heart as that way he can't exactly hurt her again.
After Justin keeps insisting that he take her out to dinner to at least try and make it up to her she reluctantly agrees, but later after they've had dinner and are back at his place he decides to tell her whilst in the middle of making love to each other that he loves her. Sloane can hardly believe it and ignores him as she doesn't think that he is capable of loving any girl, but to Justin he means every word of it and he wants to shower her with all his love and affection but she keeps pushing him away.

I honestly hope that after a weekend away that Sloane will finally lower down her walls and let him in as I think it's so sweet that he's trying his hardest to win her back, but at the same time I understand where she is coming from as if any other girl was in her position they would be hesitant as into giving into what she wants.
Trust me when I say that you will be wanting to see how it all works out between the two of them as I felt exactly the same way when I got to the end of the first book. The writing and the characters have been so well thought out and they are honestly amazing, each time I read any work of C.C. Cartwright's I fall in love with it all over again and I hope that you all feel the same. So please take a chance with this series

Perfect two part read!

Finished reading Just Love Me part 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it! The Book picks up right where book 1 stops. Sloane is heartbroken and Justin realizes what a mistake he's made. He now has to find a way to prove to Sloane that he does love her and she is the only one for him. The way he has always lived his life, so many women so little time is over for him now. He just wants Sloane. When Justin first sees her again it's at his family's gathering and he starts to get the full gravity of what he has done. Sloane is thin and withdrawn and her eyes show just how shattered she is. Justin starts to try and get her to forgive him but she wants no part of it. He finally gets her to go to dinner with him and sees how shut off she is from him. He continues to see her and they start having sex. It has always been off the charts for both of them and he gets little glimpses of the girl he loves. He wants the old Sloane back. However, she refuses to open her heart to him again in fear of getting hurt. Justin wanted to keep their relationship secret so he wouldn't have to face the anger of going against his family's wishes and dating Sloane. But, he wants to prove to her how important she is to him, so he tells his sister and than his parents. They are all shocked at first even Sloane, but finally his family accepts them as a couple. The ending completes the story so well. I don't want to spoil the ending for you but it's perfect!

I honestly have to say that I have fall in love with an amazing and new author for me after reading only 4 books of C.C. Cartwright's. What can I say? Her books are a little bit habit-forming, jiji!!

Well time has passed and Justin realize that he wants Sloan back. They see each other for the first time after their brake up in his parents home for dinner. Justin's tries to get her back but she does not believe him or thrust him. Can Justin win her back? Can Sloane get her happy ending? Can his family accepts them as a couple? I don't want to spoil the ending for you but it's superb! So buy it now and get reading, you won't regret it!!! I cant get enough and can't wait to read more about maybe Justin's sister Kylie and Scott romance.

This book is an indispensable tool in the guitar workshop and an intriguing, informative, and thorough reference for DIY Musical Instrument builders. It is impeccably researched and meticulously organized. In addition to it being a great reference for amateur or professional luthiers, it is also a perfect introduction to the art of Cigar Box Guitar and DIY instrument construction and a fun and interesting read from cover to cover. Very well written, I have learned more tricks of the trade in Charles book... Which ones you ask? You will have to read the book... his building is much like all the rest of the books out there...Like Cigar Box Guitar, Handmade Music Factory, Picken Stick Building... BUT at the end of the book the trick of making a bridge or some of the setup are very good resources.... Well done Charle...

Worthy of 6 stars if that were possible!

I would have given this book 6 stars if I were able to! The author Charles E. Atchison does a fantastic job of breaking down the steps to building fantastic folk insturments. I found his steps easy to follow even though I have never built a guitar before. Inside the book you will find a list of references that are extremely helpful to the process of building your own folk instrument. You will also find the authors web site which I highly recomend checking out! All in all I found the book to be a fantastic read. Based on how much I enjoyed this book I would buy other books from written by Charles E. Atchison.

Readers who buy Podrug's latest collaboration with the Robbins estate (following The Betrayers) will expect a Robbins-style erotic thriller. What they will get is dull, predictable and surprisingly tame. Madison Dupre, 34 and single, is out to secure her place in the rarefied world of antiquities by acquiring a $50-million Babylonian death mask for her employer, the Piedmont Museum of Mesopotamian Art. The mask's legendary curse soon kicks in: at its unveiling, an uninvited Iraqi insists that it was among the treasures taken by looters from Baghdad's National Museum of Antiquities following Saddam's downfall. With her job, reputation and even freedom (the FBI thinks she's in on the fraud) on the line, Madison sets out to unmask the looters, which turns out to be a very unsafe undertaking indeed. The incestuous, fiercely competitive antiquities world makes for an intriguing setup, but Podrug's execution is clunky. The action is improbable, the dialogue hackneyed, the sex (a Robbins hallmark) pedestrian and scarce. Status-obsessed Madison is hardly likable. Robbins died in 1997; it may be time to let him rest. Movie Franchise!

Phenomenal book centering around Madison Dupre, an ambitious art curator, who is climbing her way to the top of the unscrupulous world of art & antiquities. Just as Madison is reaching the pinnacle of her career, she buys what turns out to be a looted piece of valuable Mesopotamian art - making her purchase a crime and ruining her reputation. Her only way out is to "unmask" whoever has set her up. When those around her start dying, the real action begins...as she runs for her life, racing to find the perpetrators before they find her.

Rarely do we see such a strong, yet vulnerable anti-hero like Madison Dupre. When we do, it makes you wonder why we don't see more characters like Madison as the basis for great TV series or movie franchise. In this case, someone should not miss the opportunity!!

The Looters is both exciting and educational. The buildup of compressed tension in the first half of the book was extraordinary, while the unraveling of the plot was skillful, interesting and well thought out. I found the insight into archeological colleactibles interesting compensation for an educational hiatus. Don't believe those claiming this books is replete with sex and violence. True, there is some violence, but it is the validated threat of violence which helps produce tension. I must have missed the steamy sex scenes, while recalling more reference to sex than participation, and vocalizing a hurrah! for the author's prescient awareness that our choice of sexual partners is neither rational nor predicatable. One of the few books I can recommend witout reservation. Enjoy!
