Hip Hop Culture

This is the second textbook that was required for my Evolution of Hip Hop college course. What I love the most about this textbook is the way that it breaks down the different parts of songs during the listening guides. I never thought to do that, but listening to the specified song while reading about the breakdown of it was very interesting. I thought I knew all there was to know about hip hop but I was wrong. This book states that it's for people with little to no background in music. I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed reading about the history of music from the days of Afrika Bambaataa to Run DMC to Queen Latifah to Lil' Kim and forward to today's rappers. Definitely a good read even if you aren't taking a class on Hip Hop. This textbook will definitely increase your knowledge on the subject!

Finally a book that focuses on working with spreadsheets with Python. Like many other people, I am a heavy excel user and needed a guide to working with excel that went beyond your normal introductory load file and spit out some superficial row/column slices.

GREAT book with plenty of useful examples and exercises on working with Python (examples are in base python, pandas and base python with regular expresssions) for excel and csv files. The author is great at explaining the concepts and walking through each line of code to help you understand what each piece is doing.

No le tiene que faltar a ning�n doctor.

[[VIDEOID:mo2T54AE6FAJIIQ]]Puedo decir que este libro es el que m�s influy� de manera inmediata en el curso de mi vida, soy abogado, y hace 3 a�os me pico un insecto en el pie mientras dorm�a, se me hincho no le di mayor importancia y no me pod�a permitir faltar al trabajo por un piquete de no s� qu� era y pens� no pasa de no poder meter mi pie en el zapato. Y me dieron los s�ntomas que se describen en el libro una gripa muy fuerte. Paso un mes me enfermaba de todo me sent�a muy d�bil tan d�bil que tuve que dejar de trabajar, hace dos semanas yo era un mueble en casa de mis papas y me sent�a un parasito, sin vida social sin amigos 2 a�os sin salir de la casa pens� que era depresi�n, que era bipolar, que me estaba dando esquizofrenia o simplemente que en esta vida yo ya no iba a poder hacer nada y si pens� en lo peor, pesaba 26 kilogramos, hipertensi�n, ten�a Esteatosis Hepatica y el colesterol alto, y exceso de gl�bulos rojos tengo 33 a�os y el doctor me comento que ten�a los s�ntomas de muchas personas de 65 a�os a un que tuviera mucha fuerza de voluntad siempre fracasaba por la debilidad de mis sistema inmunol�gico llego este libro que me dio una segunda oportunidad de vivir y voy a empezar la tercera semana y siento una vitalidad, una alegr�a, un condici�n f�sica que la verdad ya se me av�a olvidado lo que era sentirse bien de salud ya estaba acostumbrado a las enfermedades cr�nicas.
Consegu� los antibi�ticos costara lo que costara pague el doble si ya s� que est� mal y me sorprendo de todo lo que somos capases de hacer con tal de tener un poco de salud yo lo ve�a como la �ltima oportunidad de tratar de salir de esta trinchera cr�anme cada palabra que est� escrita en el libro no est�n escrita en vano, los consejos y como abordar la atacar la enfermedad al iniciar una terapia todo eso es muy importante y est� escrito detalladamente en el libro, lo primero que hice fue tomar un antibi�tico y me sent� el triple de mal y en el libro explican muy bien que se tiene que hacer antes y que s�ntomas son los que se tiene que atacar primero para que no les pace lo que me paso a un que tengas las medicinas no es de tom�rselas y listo por eso en el libro describe que hay barias t�cnicas para atacar esta enfermedad tan silenciosa y si ten�a otras infecciones y me ten�a que deshacer primero antes de administra y atacar a lyme directamente , en un rango del uno al diez me siento en un siete pero antes me sent�a en un cuatro. Si hay mucha diferencia de hecho antes no ten�a ni la paciencia ni la energ�a de escribir esta recomendaci�n.
Espero tener la oportunidad de conocer al autor de este libro as� como a toda le gente que hizo posible la traducci�n de este libro y la narraci�n les estar� agradecido toda mi vida.
Un garrapata cambio el rumbo de mi vida una enfermedad min�scula destruyo mi mundo en el que yo era alguien muy emprendedor y lo lleno de amargura desaventura y desesperaci�n y en esa oscuridad un libro si un libro me cambio y est� haciendo que retome el camino que hace a�os abandone. Gracias mil gracias y no estoy exagerando tengo pruebas y estudios cl�nicos. Este libro no tiene que faltarle a ning�n doctor y ojala pueda ser traducido a todos los idiomas porque este libro puede cambiar el mundo como cambio mi mundo y va a cambiar el de muchas personas.

Good reference book and guide for a great game

This is a decent enough guide for an addictively fun game. There is a lot of info in the book to help shortcut the learning process and answer many questions that arise over the course of gameplay. It informs you of the best racing lines and most of the shortcuts available in the game, although I find the maps confusing to read. The descriptions of different areas of a track aren't always in order and tips are sometimes awkwardly described.

The characters and vehicles are described fairly well, but I find the descriptions of some of the play modes and gameplay actions are too brief. I don't mind figuring things out on my own, but when I purchase a guide, I expect more detail of all aspects of the game - not just some of them. For example, Mirror Mode is not really well defined in the book and one is left guessing what it is until you actually unlock it and see for yourself. Same thing applies to 'Retro' cups - it's often referred to, but not well defined.

Although there is a list of unlockable characters and vehicles in the back of the book, there should be more detail and emphasis on them since it's such an important part of the game. They're presented as more of an afterthought than an integral aspect of the game. Another thing I'd like to see is some form of an index.

Must have for the MK addict

I am SO happy I decided to purchase this game guide. It shows so many tricks and hints on how to get "ahead of the pack". I especially found the selection on the differences in the vehicle and character selections can make on your races. If you are a Mario Kart addict like me - this is a must for you. I would tell you it would also make a perfect gift for another MK player you may know of, but why increase their chances of winning against you. :-)

Wish I could give a better review but I haven't read the book.. I did however give it to my 9 year old son who says it's been a big help playing the wii game it's based on and it's given him info on a few little gems/easter eggs he would normally have been unaware of..
